Beach House

After the devastation of Hurricane Sandy destroyed this beach house, the Lasley Brahaney design-build team completely designed and built this new home to suit the modern needs of the owner. The priority was to capture views of both the shore and the bay with a seashore cottage feel.

Our Princeton architects created oversized dormers projecting out from the gambrel roof line to support the bedroom balconies with ocean views.

Our signature Lasley Brahaney support brackets add that extra design detail to the balconies.

Enclosed and accented by angled rooflines and the turret, the primary bedroom balcony boasts spectacular views of the bay and extends the bedroom living space.

With floor to ceiling windows on three sides, this enclosed porch brings the outside in.

Expansive sliding glass doors between the family room and the porch are part of the open design concept.

The cozy family room connects directly with the kitchen.

Bright and open enhanced by white raised panel cabinets and stained oak floors, this kitchen is ideal for entertaining the weekend crowd.

In keeping with the beach atmosphere, the stunning white kitchen is accented with Blue Pearl granite countertops and blue glass tile backsplash.

An additional view of the spacious kitchen that is great for entertaining a large crowd.

Simple and efficient... even the laundry room has an ocean view.

The front entranceway opens to a three-story circular staircase in the turret.

The intricacy of the circular staircase is shown in this close-up photograph.

This cozy third floor lookout gives a panoramic view of the ocean and the bay.

Intricate moldings create character and depth within every room.

Plantation shutters and blue stone porcelain tile accent the first floor bath.

Balconies and ocean views highlight the second floor bedrooms.

The spacious primary bathroom boasts a double vanity and generous shower/tub.

The primary bedroom’s expansive french doors open to the rooftop balcony/deck overlooking the bay.

Built in closets and cabinetry keep the design of the room simple and clutter free.
