Marc Brahaney
Owner
Marc Brahaney is a licensed architect and general contractor. He started Brahaney Architectural Associates in 1987.
He co-founded Lasley Brahaney Architecture + Construction with his late wife, Janet Lasley, in the mid 90’s.
He has served as president of Lasley Brahaney Architecture + Construction since 1997. The firm specializes in custom
residential additions and renovations and custom new homes in the Princeton area. Marc divides his time at the
office between working with clients and heading the company’s design-build operations. He is licensed to
practice architecture in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
Marc graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University as an undergraduate and then continued at Princeton to earn
his Master’s in Architecture. He received both a Princeton University fellowship and Merit Prize during his
academic career. In the years since graduation, Marc has served as a Princeton Annual Giving volunteer, performed
alumni admissions interviews, served as a class trustee, and supported Princeton Internships in Civic Service (PICS).
Marc recently completed a 17-year tenure on the board of trustees of
Princeton Day School.
During that time his roles included chairing the Buildings & Grounds Committee and the Capital Projects Core
Committee, serving on the Audit Committee, the Executive Committee, and the Head of School Search Committee, as well
as serving several terms as vice-chair followed by a term as the chair of the board. He also co-chaired the
Princeton Day School Annual Fund in 2006 and 2007.
From 2009 to 2023, Marc was a member of the board of
Planned Parenthood of Northern, Central and Southern New Jersey.
He also supports
Princeton Community Housing, where he was a member
of the Capital Campaign Committee which concluded a successful campaign in early 2023. Marc recently began his service on the board of the
Stoney Brook-Millstone Watershed Association.
Beyond his volunteer service in the local community, the Brahaney family in 2015, established the
Janet May Lasley Life Fund (JMLF) to help sustain individuals and families by offering direct and indirect
financial, social and emotional support when illness threatens their welfare and viability. The JMLF works through
the Trenton Health Team to aid local patients in need of non-medical support to improve their health outcomes.
The JMLF mission is inspired by the memory of beloved and passionate friend, mother and wife, Janet Lasley, who
lived life with great enthusiasm, believed in miracles, and connected intently with those around her.
She lived positively with an indomitable can-do spirit.
Marc and his wife Sue live in Lawrence Township with 2 dogs, 6 chickens, and a large, organic vegetable and flower
garden run by Sue and supported by Marc.
